Local government pensions to increase by 1.7%

We can now confirm that the 2020 Pensions Increase will be 1.7%. This increase is worked out in line with September 2019’s consumer price index (CPI).

The Shropshire County Pension Fund, like all public sector pension schemes, has no discretion in applying your pension increase and is bound by The Pensions Increase (Review) Order 2020 issued by HM Treasury.

Don't forget, you can register online! Visit My Pension Online and click 'sign up'. You'll need your email address and national insurance number.

If you're an active member, view your latest pension amount, your annual benefit statements, and work out your pension using our benefit projector tool.

You can also update personal information, such as your address, as well as your death grant nominations.

If you're in receipt of a pension, please note, your online pension record will not be updated with the new pension increase amount yet. Please wait for your P60 payslip which will include your new annual pension figure.
