Several policies will be examined as part of the valuation process, which will include a period for feedback.
The consultation for the funding strategy statement, investment policy and employer events policy is scheduled for December to January. Final versions are planned to be submitted to the Pensions Committee for approval in March 2026.
The current timetable below sets out the key dates and provides you with an indication of when we will need you to take part in this process.
- Late October/early November - Employer schedules sent out
- 24 November - Employer Meeting (in person at The Guildhall, Shrewsbury)
- W/C 24 November - Employers will have the opportunity to discuss results with the fund and Actuary (individual appointments)
- December - January 2026 - Policy consultation
- March 2026 - Policy approval (Pensions Committee)
- 1 April 2026 - *New rates take effect
