Our early retirement webpage has been updated to reflect the new early retirement factors that are applicable from August 2026.
Members within the LGPS can choose to retire and take your pension anytime from age 55 (rising to 57 in 2028) but reductions will apply if you retire before the normal pension age because it's being paid for longer.

You can also login into your My Pension Online account and use our calculators to get your own pension projections of your pension figures for any retirement date you choose. Instructions on how to use the calculators can be found on page 37 of our My Pension Online Registration guide.
