The papers and agenda for the Pensions Committee meeting, being held at Shirehall on 6 December at 10am have now been published.
Pensions are increased annually from April each year, in line with the cost of living. Pensions increase is determined by the HM Treasury and approved by Parliament then published in a government order. It is usually based on the annual increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) to the previous September.
This year there was a delay outside of our control on publishing the report with the audit opinion but this has now been added.
The LGPS have released the 2025-2026 employee contribution bands for England and Wales, which will be effective from 1 April 2025.
